love our neighbor

14 The entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbour as yourself."
15 If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.
Galatians 5:14-15 NIV

what does it mean to really love our neighbor? it's more than a smile, a hug, a cheery hello, or a helping hand. we are called to show the character of Jesus in us and we are commissioned to point our neighbor to Jesus' gift of grace and salvation. loving a neighbor means denying our own pride and prejudice as well as embracing and including someone who could be unlovable, lonely, deprived or lost . . . because at one time in our lives, we have been any or all of this.

1 Blessed are all who fear the Lord,
who walk in His ways.
2 You will eat the fruit of Your labour;
blessings & prosperity will be yours.
Psalm 128:1-2 NIV

May I bear the slight and slander I receive, Lord, with Your graceful serenity and may I put justice and reason in Your hands, Mighty God, not in mine. May I model your fairness & faithfulness in all that I do. In Jesus' wonderful name, Amen.

Peace, blessings, grace and love be yours today and always . . . . . . .
